Winner of a decent race at Lingfield over this trip early this month, 4lb higher but merits respect on first visit to this track.

Hasn't been out of the front two in his last four runs around here, scoring nicely at this trip a fortnight ago. Up another 5lb but should have a say again.

Has been in super recent form but latest run here in January suggested the handicapper had finally caught up with him and just 1lb lower now.

Won a 7f handicap with something to spare here three weeks ago, up 7lb for that success dangerous to assume he'll build on it give overall profile.

First win for this yard when taking a 6f claimer recently, ending a long losing sequence in doing so. Racing off the same mark, he's hard to disregard upped in trip.

Two of his three turf wins arrived last year, both at 6f though has won over 7f before. Yet to race on AW and coming here off a break.

Scored over 6f here early last month thought follow up effort at this trip was just a bit underwhelming. Could be involved if back on song.

Forecasts

Shannon Soul (11/4), Ishebayorgrey (3/1), Geological (9/2), Pearl Spectre (5/1), Split The Atom (13/2), Guanabara Bay (10/1), Ducky Mallon (22/1)

Verdict

PEARL SPECTRE is an intriguing visitor on the back of his recent Lingfield success, that looked a better contest on paper and, while some of these are in decent form, he may be able to grab the lion's share of the prize money for export. Geological could scarcely be more consistent but has another 5lb to contend with this time while fellow last time out winner Shannon Soul is up 7lb and is by no means trusted to fire a second time. The likeable Split The Atom scored his sixth course win recently and is not passed over easily while Guanabara Bay has winning form here this year as well but ran poorly on latest visit.
