Front-running tactics didn't pay off over this trip in early January though subsequently stayed on well to score over shorter trip later the same month. Up 3lb, should be competitive again.

Had been running well over two-miles around here before disappointing on return from short break a fortnight ago. Drops in trip and has won over C&D, albeit back in 2014. Needs to bounce back.

Narrowly denied the course hat-trick a fortnight ago at this trip, up 1lb again but should be right in the mix again.

Flat form leaves him with a bit to find and hasn't been setting the heather on fire over hurdles of late.

Ran a sound race on step up to two-miles here a fortnight ago, should be competitive again dropped back in trip though stablemate Ligeti looks better equipped to win.

Well held only previous AW start in native France, struggled since joining current trainer with two of three runs being over hurdles. Bit to prove but room for better.

C&D winner last January, narrowly beaten in September over track and trip. Off since disappointing hurdles run in October and should run his race.

Was in terrific form around here early last year and returned from layoff to be second over C&D early last month though since failing to back that up over shorter trip.

Six-race maiden, yet to show enough in four races in this country to warrant selection. First time visiting this track having been running over hurdles last summer/autumn when last seen.

Returned from nine months off and made it 27 runs without a win when beating just one rival home over C&D a fortnight ago.

Forecasts

Ligeti (9/4), War Goddess (4/1), Mainicin (5/1), Black Label (7/1), Time For Mabel (9/1), Sea of Blue (11/1), Meadow Cross (11/1), Venezia (12/1), Sackfullofdreams (20/1), Spirit Of The Law (50/1), Pitore (50/1)

Verdict

LIGETI missed on the hat-trick over this trip last time but wasn't foiled by much and can quickly get back on the winning trail off 1lb higher mark at the main expense of stablemate War Goddess, who should be more suited back at this trip having tackled two-miles latest. Mainicin fared much better last time with a more patient approach adopted and can have a say despite going up 3lb while Black Label is a former C&D scorer and ran well enough in two outings here last month to merit consideration.
  1. Ligeti
  2. War Goddess
  3. Black Label
