Muddling recent career profile in terms of trip (racing between 1m and 1m2f without any real consistency), and it's now a good while since he last won (1m+ at Beverley in July 2015). However, he ran well from a 1lb higher mark over this C&D when fresh from a break in January; 1¾L third to Eastern Dragon, so enters the equation on that showing alone.
Far from disgraced (AW debut) when fifth of eight in a stronger race won by Swift Emperor earlier this month on his return to action from a break. Dropped 1lb since, and a chance if building upon that run having ended last season on turf out of form.
Lincoln Handicap entry who was last seen contesting a Class 4 Newmarket handicap (14th of 18) in October 2016. Boasts a career AW record of 0 from 8, but twice a runner up at Chelmsford, including over 1m2f in October 2016 to Cape Crystal. Strong stamina wise over this trip.
Six time winner, but yet to get off the mark for this trainer despite running consistently well on the AW this winter (mainly at Chelmsford and Wolverhampton). The handicapper probably has his measure on balance and his worst run in quite a while did come on his most recent start.
A three time winner from ten AW starts, but he hadn't raced on synthetics since February 2016, until when seemingly finding 1m on the sharp side here earlier this month. That said, he was entitled to need that run (absent since racing over hurdles at Perth in June 2016), and is with a strong yard.
AW maiden (dual winner on turf), and has been largely out of sorts this winter. Would hold a semblance of a chance if returning to his C&D form from early October (2L runner up to Eastern Dragon), but has held plenty of similar chances at this track in the interim period, so can on balance be opposed.
Placed on three occasions in turf maidens (not the strongest of contests), and last of ten on her handicap debut on her most recent start at Ayr in mid September 2016 (rated 68). Returns from a six month break for her AW debut from a reduced mark at a realistic level.

Thecornishbarron promises to be strong at the business end of the race with stamina seemingly his forte, but he'd need to be winning this with ease if his Lincoln (holds an entry) ambitions aren't fanciful ones. In truth, few of these runners make any significant appeal with the likes of Warfare and So It's War fully capable on their day but so often equally under-performing types. Therefore, a chance is taken that TRINITY STAR can build upon a fair AW debut behind the useful Swift Emperor recently and provide the Dods/Mulrennan combination with a winner.
