Won a seller at Leicester in October, though has been unable to add to that in seven subsequent starts, making the frame on four occasions including when beaten just a neck off 1lb lower over C&D last time. Struggles to find that little extra in a finish but otherwise very competitive.

Has a C&D win to his name and is effective at both 7f and 1m. Still 3lb higher than his latest win at Kempton in November and that is probably narrowly too much weight to get him home in front.

Tongue strap and visor have combined well for him lately, winning two of his four starts when both have been fitted, including a C&D seller last time. 4lb rise for that makes this return to handicapping a fair bit tougher.

Had to contend with a car park draw when coming with a late rattle to defy a 3lb rise and win over C&D last month. Now up 6lb and again drawn wide enough, but he was going away in front last time and may just have hit a purple patch, so you would not rule out the hat-trick.

1lb higher than when winning here over C&D in January. Has had just the one run since when putting in an inexplicably poor effort from a decent draw back over C&D. Cheek pieces back on today and tongue strap declared for first time, so can't be ruled out, though does carry risks.

Twice a winner around here over further, this trip is short of his optimum. Scored over 1m at Chelmsford last month from 7lb lower, but well held from this mark over this trip last time.

Forecasts

Murdanova (7/4), Rebel Lightning (5/2), Call Out Loud (7/2), Believe It (4/1), Dark Profit (5/1), Baltic Prince (15/2), Hernando Torres (12/1), Masamah (16/1)

Verdict

Believe It will be touch to beat if he is able to dictate, despite his 6lb penalty, while Rebel Lightning looks likely to be in the shout for a place. Murdanova was not stopping when scoring last time and should be thereabouts seeking a hat-trick, though the suggestion here is DARK PROFIT. Keith Dalgeish's gelding has not seen much action of late, but ran with plenty of promise after an absence last time and could be cherry ripe to strike this time.
  1. Dark Profit
  2. Believe It
  3. Murdanova
