Back to form last time out and, given that he is well handicapped just now, he can play a strong role in what is likely to be a tactical affair.

Comes here on the back of a solid effort last time out at Fontwell. Set to race from a mark 13lb below his last winning rating, so has claims at the weights. Long losing run needs to be brought to a halt, though.

Ran as if in need of the outing at Leicester a fortnight but still fared well given his time away from the action. Notable that he was well backed on what was his first start for his current yard, so will be interesting to see if the market suggest that compensation awaits.

Races from just 4lb higher than his winning mark at Towcester but reverted to type last time out and needs to prove that February success wasn't just a flash in the pan.

Forecasts

Rude And Crude (1/1), Starkie (11/4), Un Anjou (9/2), Edgar (7/1)

Verdict

It can pay to give RUDE AND CRUDE another chance now that he has the benefit of a run under his belt. Gary Moore's charge is marginally preferred ahead of Un Anjou, who is well handicapped just now and has solid claims on the pick of his form. Edgar showed he is capable of springing a surprise when getting his head in front at Towcester recently. He can pick up the pieces if the selection suffers from the bounce factor.
  1. Rude And Crude
  2. Un Anjou
  3. Edgar
