Heavy ground winner in a maiden hurdle at Plumpton last time out but won a bumper on good so is clearly versatile ground wise. Steps up in trip today on handicap debut and could prove to be on a lenient mark. Leading player.
Dual-purpose performer who is still a maiden over hurdles but has managed to finish second on three occasions. Has seemed regressive on recent starts, however, and is best left alone here.
High quality performer who has won many races in impressive style, including at a much higher level than this. Almost all his good form has come on better ground, though, so the likely conditions have to be a major concern.
Formerly with Henry de Bromhead and has been disappointing in his short career so far, including when well beaten on British debut last time. There's the strong impression that there could be more to come, but it'll need to come relatively quickly if he's to have a say here.
French import who hasn't seemed to be up to the task since moving to Britain for this season. Recent class relief hasn't helped, and others hold more appealing claims here.
Only modest form in a bumper and three subsequent starts over hurdles. Makes handicap debut today stepping up in trip today and is probably best watched given the mark he's been allocated.
Reverts back to hurdles having won six times over fences. Has never finished in the top two over the smaller obstacles but has shown he still retains ability despite his age and therefore has to be in with a chance.
Came to life around this time last season with an impressive run mostly in better races than this one, but has not been up to the same level since returning last month. Handicap mark is coming down quickly to reflect that, however.
Hasn't won since May 2014 having been off for much of the time since with various issues. Hasn't looked quite so good after those lay-offs, but claims if returning to his best form.
Very lightly raced for his age and outran his odds on two of his three starts in maiden/novice events. Makes his belated handicap debut today and could be in with a chance over a trip that should suit.

None of these would be a hugely surprising winner, but perhaps THE CALLER can defy top weight to provide the answer. He makes his handicap debut today on what could prove to be a fair mark, and there could be further improvement in him stepping up in trip. The veteran Ratify is another one to consider given his good chase form if he can get over his poor record over hurdles (which seems likely to be more down to coincidence than genuine preference), as well as the lightly raced We'll Be There.
