Lightly raced maiden who has shown his best form so far on soft ground, and so should be suited by today's conditions. Step back up to a staying trip should suit, but does have top-weight to contend with here.
Bolted up to win as he liked in the mud at Lingfield a week ago. Tries the same trip and class today and should have a big part to play if able to prove as effective under a penalty.
Couldn't get involved in a similar quality event over slightly further at Warwick last month having recently run some fair races over fences. Looks held on hurdles form though, especially as all his best performances have come on better ground.
Steps up in trip today having looked outpaced over shorter, and is dropped 5lb having been well beaten at Lingfield when last seen in January. Place claims if this new distance brings out the best in him.
Went close on bottomless ground at Ffos Las last time out and goes up 4lb for that effort. Best form is all at that course though he has won here in the past as well, and any rain would be a bonus.
Goes up 8lb for an impressive victory at Warwick last time when a step up to 3m2f really seemed to do the job. Needs to recreate that form over shorter here, which might not be easy, but could run on for a place.
Finished just behind The Model County at a recent race at Exeter (2m7f, soft) but is much better off in the weights today. Has shown he still retains some of his ability recently, especially on soft ground, but hasn't won a race for over three years.
Beaten 15l into second by Point N Shoot at Lingfield last week, and though he does receive some relief in the weights today, he still has much work to do, especially as he likes the ground bottomless.
Winning form is all over further than this and there has to be the suspicion that the handicapper has caught up with him, especially as he hasn't gotten within 10L of a winner since his last victory almost two years ago.
Exposed veteran who hasn't won a hurdles race in over seven years and doesn't seem to be in with much chance of changing that today racing from well out of the handicap.

Forecasts
Point N Shoot (11/8), The Model County (9/2), Sutter's Mill (7/1), Filatore (7/1), Over My Head (10/1), Cautious Kate (12/1), Admiral Blake (16/1), Peterpanopirateman (16/1), Comical Red (25/1), Supapowers (40/1), Dancing Dik (100/1)
A lot of these seem to be exposed so it might be worth looking for a potential improver in the field. POINT N SHOOT has to overcome a penalty for his recent Lingfield romp but he looks to be going the right way and this trip would seem to be his optimum now handicapping. Sutters Mill is another option who may have his best days in front of him having run some nice races in defeat recently and now looks well handicapped, as well as recent Ffos Las runner-up Filatore.
- Point N Shoot
- Sutter's Mill
- Filatore
