Winner of a bumper in France in 2014 and put a late fall at Clonmel behind him when successful in a 25 runner contest at Fairyhouse last time out. Steps up in grade here but represents top connections and likely to run well.
Improved by the fitting of cheekpieces of late finishing third in them at Limerick in December before going on to win a novices event at Cork over this trip in January. Unseated rider early on upped in trip for a Grade 3 contest last time out and visor replaces the cheekpieces here.
Point-to-point winner last March who got off the mark at the second attempt over hurdles at Fairyhouse in December. The form of that race is working out well with the third and fourth both successful since and looks to have a strong chance dropped in trip here.
Dual winner on the Flat but absent for over a year following hurdling debut at Fairyhouse in December 2015. Has run well since returning to action finishing runner-up to the Grade 1-placed Bunk Off Early at Leopardstown prior to justifying odds-on favouritism over C&D a month ago.
Winner on the Flat in France and highly tried having been soundly beaten in Grade 1 company since being gelding following a maiden hurdle victory at Thurles in December. Drop in grade should help here and appears to be the yards second string on jockey bookings.
Winner on the Flat in 2015 but still a maiden over hurdles. Placed in maiden company at Navan in January and Leopardstown the previous month and looks to have plenty on his plate on these terms.
Related to a few leading jumps performers and made a winning bumper debut when seeing off four rivals here in January 2016. Absent since and interesting to see how he fares on hurdling debut after more than 14 months off the track.
Consistent sort and finished out of the frame just twice in nine career outings. Return from over a year off when runner-up in a maiden hurdle here over 2m3f in January and went one better at Navan three weeks later. Steps up in grade here.
Forecasts
Bleu Berry (5/2), Minella Till Dawn (5/2), Outspoken (3/1), Riven Light (7/1), Indian Monsoon (12/1), Black Key (14/1), Miss Mardan (20/1), Zaheer (33/1)
BLEU BERRY travelled well prior to going clear of a big field at Fairyhouse last month on his first outing in in just 10 months and represents a trainer with a 30% strike rate at this venue (33/110). The selection is taken to get the better of Minella Till Dawn who drops in trip here for last years winning trainer while Outspoken can claim third dropped in grade here.
