Already looking a decent performer, having run well on all four hurdles starts, including in a Warwick Grade Two and also last time when taking a decent Kempton novices' contest over 2m5f. Best form so far has been on good or good to soft, so slight concern regarding forecast conditions, but should be tough to beat.
Debut point-to-point winner last year who improved for his hurdles debut to run better than his 40/1 odds at Doncaster last time (2mft, good to soft). Still a work in progress and may do better when handicapping.

All three wins were on the Flat at Brighton and shown nothing in a couple of hurdles that would have many people rushing to wager in this field.

Made the frame in both a bumper and on her second start over hurdles, which was last time out at Fakenham. Raced that day as if this step up in trip would bring about a fair bit of improvement. Will need it, but receives plenty of weight from her chief rival and far from ruled out.

Forecasts

Get On The Yager (1/5), Ballynorth Benny (11/2), Comely (9/1), Jiminy Cricket (33/1), Port Lairge (100/1)

Verdict

This looks to be a two-horse race and while we anticipate improvement from Comely, now that she is stepped up in trip, GET ON THE YAGER has been keeping better company and may still be good enough to give weight and a beating to the Henderson-trained mare. Ballynorth Benny looks to be best of the rest.

  3. Ballynorth Benny
