Comfortably accounted for in a better race than this at Haydock last time. Goes well here, drop back in trip probably a plus and acts well with plenty of cut in the ground. The concern is that he has never won from a mark above 135 over hurdles and he is 5lb higher here.
0-6 at this venue, although it wouldn't be massively different to Wetherby, where he has enjoyed his last two successes in the same race both last year and this (2m3½f). The latet of those was from 3lb higher than here and he was not disgraced behind a Champion Hurdle runner in Cyrus Darius last time. Claims.
French import who won four hurdles and a chase at Auteuil at trips from 2m2f to 2m3½f. Off the boil on his last two starts there and with new yard not red hot at present the percentage call is to watch him in a competitive enough event.
Former Mark Johnston and Jonjo O'Neill inmate who scored on his second start for current yard from a mark 1lb higher than today's. Loves to get his toe in and ran well enough from today's pitch at Kelso last time over a trip arguably a bit too far. This will suit better and should be in the shake-up.
1lb higher than his best winning mark since coming to England, which he achieved over a similar trip at Catterick last season. Easy win at Sedgefield last time, for which he is back up 8lb but should give a good account with forecast conditions to suit.
Has won around here over fences and previously scored from 5lb higher over hurdles. Probably not as good as that now, but won from today's mark last spring and may still be capable of being thereabouts, though recent form uninspiring.

A competitive enough heat where the suggestion is MAXIE T. Micky Hammond's string have been running well enough of late and the drop back to this trip, cut in the ground, first-time cheek pieces and being back on a handy mark are all taken as positives. One For Harry and Desert Cry can both be involved for minor honours, while Tomkevi is another for the short-list.
