Improved over hurdles in two starts this year and still plenty of scope for improvement when taking his Flat mark into account. Won well last time and due to go up another 8lb so looks hard to beat. Trainer won this in 2014.

Poor on the Flat but more at home over hurdles. However, he looks unlikely to get the good ground he craves and others make more appeal.

Seems to be regressing currently and hard to recommend in current form but trainer has won this race before and he has a fine record with his hurdlers at the track (28.28%).

Tailed off and pulled up on last start and unplaced on all three previous finishes. Not shown enough to warrant serious consideration in this.

Very much an in-and-out performer but capable if on a going day provided the switch back to hurdles doesn't prove too much of an inconvenience. Likely to enjoy the forecast soft conditions.

Won off higher marks than this in the past and signs of a return to form last time at Plumpton. Looks a little old in the tooth now but may still be capable of getting involved in a race as weak as this.

Forecasts

Centurius (1/1), Silverhow (7/2), Kastani Beach (9/2), Mighty Missile (14/1), Little Jimmy (16/1), Sissinghurst (16/1)

Verdict

This revolves around one horse and if CENTURIUS turns up in the same form as he did at Ludlow last week, he will be very hard to beat for the Venetia Williams stables who won this in 2014. Little Jimmy looks best of the rest if he's on a going day while Kastani Beach shouldn't be completely ruled out after a respectable effort last time.
  1. Centurius
  2. Little Jimmy
  3. Kastani Beach
