Shown little form for a year now, with best effort coming at Towcester in December. Seems to handle soft/heavy and does stay, but burst a blood vessel last time, and comes with risks attached now.
Only moderate, but has won 2 of his 9 chase starts, and will appreciate the return to fences (and a longer trip) after efforts here at Leicester and Sandown. Handles all ground and on a winnable mark. One of the interesting ones.
Moderate maiden who only has the two places from 15 tries to show for his efforts. Not completely disgraced last time but never looked the winner either, and needs to show more to get involved.
Looked on the downgrade until stopping the rot at Market Rasen, bumping into a well handicapped rival (who won again next start) in finishing second. Handles soft/heavy and if that wasn't a flash in the pan, holds a chance here.
Stays well and handles soft/heavy ground, but shown no real form for a while now and looks up against it again.

Forecasts
Glendermot (5/4), Fuhgeddaboudit (10/3), What A Joke (4/1), Mahler Lad (9/2), Smart Catch (7/1), Musical Wedge (12/1)
A race to tread carefully with. A chance is taken that the return to fences will spark SMART CATCH back into life, as he's well enough treated on old form and should have conditions to suit. Glendermot looks the obvious danger if that second at Market Rasen was the start of a revival, and the fight for third can be won by Mahler Lad.
