Has won twice around here and produced a career best when rallying well to get back up and win at Newcastle (2m4f, soft) last month. Up another 5lb now, meaning he is that same amount worse off with Caraline, who was 4L adrift that day. Conditions no problem and should go well.

4L to find with Gold Opera on their Newcastle running and now 5lb better off. A reasonably consistent performer, though still 4lb above her last winning mark and has never won from this pitch before. Stable in better form of late.

Another consistent performer who might have made it three wins from four starts when tipping up at Uttoxeter in December. Went up despite that tumble and was unable to cope with a mark 2lb higher than today's over 2m here last time. Return to this trip looks a positive, though has never won from higher than a mark of 97.

Forecasts

Gold Opera (4/6), Mumgos Debut (11/4), Caraline (7/2)

Verdict

Caraline has been given a chance to reverse placings with GOLD OPERA, though we will side with the latter to confirm the order home of their Newcastle run. Mumgos Debut is far from out of it, though he would probably have to show improved form to win.
  1. Gold Opera
  2. Caraline
  3. Mumgos Debut
