Looked smart when picking up three races for Willie Haggas last season including this twelve months ago. Has finished last on his two most recent starts but this looks easier. Trainer/jockey combination entitle him to respect.

Looked unlucky at Chelmsford in November and highly tried since. Has won here and at Sandown so track layout appears ideal and jockey booking looks positive.

Has winning form here for Roger Charlton over a mile. Has shown he gets this trip but recent form is several pounds below his best.

Winner of a Chelmsford maiden for Roger Charlton before struggling in Listed company on next two starts. Having first run for 16 months off a mark which that victory suggests is workable.

Has AW victories here and at Lingfield. Never a factor after being positioned wide last time but had done better when fourth in a race that worked out well since. A line through the runner-up that day gives him a few pounds to find with Manson.

Getback In Paris29

Never really progressed from a winning debut in France. Bought for hurdling but after two disappointing efforts he now turns his attention to AW action for new trainer.

Forecasts

Manson (11/10), Our Channel (4/1), Abareeq (5/1), Captain Cat (8/1), Getback In Paris (12/1), Allumage (14/1)

Verdict

MANSON is taken to pick up the race he deserves having looked unfortunate when denied a clear run in good company at Chelmsford in November. A line through Brigliadoro suggests he has the beating of Abareeq. The latter represents a yard operating at a good strike rate and at a time of year where they normally do well. Our Channel has been slow to come to hand but with two C&D victories it would surprise few if he were to bounce back.
