Acquired by connections for £68,000 at Tattersalls in December and made an immediate impact when making all to win at Wetherby last month, giving 15lb and a 1¾L beating to Becky The Thatcher, who reopposes on the same terms. Wasn't doing a lot in front there and may be able to defy her penalty.

Beat a couple of previous winners and had Lavella Wells a distance in arrears when winning a similar race to this at Market Rasen last month (2m½f, soft), when she was held up and then bounded clear from two out. Yard's last five runners have all hit the frame and she should again go well under her penalty.

Lady London15
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: Craig Nichol| T: R Dobbin
200/1
Won an Irish point-to-point in November 2015 and changed hands for £36,000 about a year ago. Has failed to show much at all in a bumper and three hurdles, two against her own sex, her odds increasing with every run. Need to see more from her and best watched until she tries handicaps.
Stable in really good form and has been doing well at the track lately, though it takes a leap of faith to see this ageing mare adding to that list of credits. Last of six on both runs last month after a lengthy absence and nigh on impossible to make a case for her.

Becky The Thatcher6
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-11| J: Finian O'Toole(5)| T: Micky Hammond| OR:  116
6/1
59-rated maiden on the Flat, where stamina is her forte and she can't seem to find much at the business end. Similar profile emerging over jumps, though she did win a fillies' juvenile hurdle at Musselburgh in November (2m½f, good) when odds-on favourite. Ran well behind Golden Vision last time but no obvious reason why she should turn the tables on the same terms.

Horse silk
300/1
Has started at 100/1 or bigger in six of her nine careers starts, including all four this season, which she has failed to complete. Impossible to recommend against some in-form opposition.

Forecasts

Golden Vision (11/10), All My Love (11/8), Becky The Thatcher (6/1), Lavella Wells (50/1), Lady London (200/1), Melodya (300/1)

Verdict

We can probably dismiss half the field immediately here and concentrate on the other three and the tentative vote goes to ALL MY LOVE. Pam Sly does well here and this Market Rasen winner still holds an entry in next week's Grade Two mares' novices' hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. The 7lb she receives here from Golden Vision may prove vital. Dan Skelton's charge is not dismissed under top weight as she could probably have pulled out a little more when beating Becky The Thatcher, whom she meets on the same terms, at Wetherby.
  1. All My Love
  2. Golden Vision
  3. Becky The Thatcher
