Won a maiden and a couple of 1m2f handicaps on the Flat (rated 64), though has refused to race in two of her last three intended outings when with Karl Burke and now new connections have a go. Hurdles debut and best watched.

£55,000 buy. Debut winner of both a point-to-point and a Wetherby bumper when there was plenty of cut in the ground, before being third in a Listed bumper. Turned over at 1/9 on her hurdles debut against her own sex at Newcastle and again at odds-on at Southwell last time. Should run well but limitations already exposed.

Shown nothing in either a bumper or over hurdles so far and it needs a huge leap of faith to see her getting involved this time.
£30,000 purchase with bags of stamina in her pedigree. Went well over this trip two starts ago and probably at a similar level over a trip too short last time. The return to this distance looks a positive and you couldn't rule her out.
Point-to-point winner who was a £95,000 buy in December. Encouraging debut over hurdles at Market Rasen last month (2m½f, soft) and this longer trip is very much a plus and should be heavily involved.

Late enough introduction to the racecourse for the daughter of a moderate 2m5f hurdle winner and best watched this time.
Won a 1m4f Wolverhampton handicap on the Flat for Clive Cox and made an encouraging debut for current trainer at Market Rasen last month. Needs significant improvement to win but may have place claims.

Forecasts

Listen To The Man (10/11), Rosie McQueen (9/4), Grand Turina (5/2), Want The Fairytale (5/1), Comely (5/1), Miss Yeats (8/1), Dalmarella Dancer (25/1), Alameda (50/1), Malpreedy (100/1), Wataguddo (100/1), Easyontheeye (100/1)

Verdict

Comely looks likely to go very well again this time, but the form of GRAND TURINA's Ludlow run has worked out well and she is given the nod, while Listen To The Man and Rosie McQueen can be involved in the shake-up.
  1. Grand Turina
  2. Comely
  3. Listen To The Man
