2lb rise for finishing runner-up to an improver last time, which was his first start in a handicap. Every reason to believe that he can build on that today and should be thereabouts despite top weight.
Very much the stable's second string in this, looking at what he has achieved on the racecourse, having started at 33/1 or bigger in all four runs and shwing little, including twice here over 2m. The step up to this trip looks a positive and we may now see more.
Well beaten in two bumpers and three hurdles outings and shown nothing to get us excited. Already tried over this trip and failed to complete and not a lot in the way of positives to bring to the party.
Showed some promise in Irish bumpers in 2012, but has clearly had his problems, twice spending around 18 months off the track. Pulled up over fences when last seen in May and not easy to enthuse about his chance.
Not a lot going for him on the evidence of what we have seen to date, though in the search for positives he did probably put up his best effort over a similar trip at Fontwell in June (good). Beaten a long way from 4lb higher last time and very hard to fancy.
One of few previous winners in the field having scored in a Newton Abbot handicap hurdle (2m5½f, good) from a 12lb lower mark in August. Has run with credit from similar marks to this on two out of three subsequent appearances and entitled to place claims at least.
Showed promise when runner-up in a point-to-point and a couple of bumpers, though has now shown nothing for two years. Handicap mark now more attractive, though would hope to see some positives in the market if a revival in fortunes is imminent.
Back on a previous winning mark here for a gelding with proven stamina and a penchant for soft ground. Recent efforts uninspiring, but that has been the case prior to two of his previous wins, so definitely not ruled out.
Yet to win from 10 starts in either code and although he did run well enough in a poor race at Market Rasen in July, his latest effort when stepped up to this trip at Leicester left him with plenty more questions to answer.
Another who has shown very little and for a variety of trainers too. Comes into this on a very lowly mark for a yard that had a winner recently, but unless there are strong market vibes she is very hard to fancy.
20lb lower than his last win, which was a heavy ground Uttoxeter handicap hurdle (2m4f) in 2013. Off the track from December of that year until last month, so clearly had his problems and nothing we saw on his return gave cause for optimism.
Little perfect about her form, with a CV showing 0-8 over hurdles and a rapidly sliding mark. Impossible to fancy, even with a feather weight.

Forecasts
Fifty Bob (2/1), Good Man Hughie (7/2), Far From Defeat (11/2), Double Court (11/2), Braw Angus (10/1), Daring Knight (10/1), It's Oscar (11/1), Silver Ticket (11/1), Pearlita (12/1), Get Back To Me (16/1), Perfect Timing (16/1), I Know The Code (33/1), Sound The Bugle (50/1), Outrageous Romana (66/1)
A very poor contest where FIFTY BOB might prove good enough to see off the few that should get into it, despite top weight. It's Oscar is weighted to return to form, while Pearlita is interesting on her handicap debut. Good Man Hughie is also a danger.
