In very good form over hurdles recently before belated chase debut last time at Thurles over two-miles. Up in trip today but much work to be done on that evidence.
Won at Kilbeggan in September but gone the wrong way since and mediocre effort at Naas over hurdles recently. First attempt at fences.
Yet to win under rules, some sketchy jumping and overall looked tentative on chasing bow at Clonmel two weeks ago.
First two chase starts suggest this will be another struggle, jumping having looked laboured at times.
Struggled in two runs under rules either side of February point-to-point success, likely to find this hard going as well.

Forecasts
Kings Bandit (4/11), Crosshue Boy (13/8), Cloudy Morning (2/1), Dr Waluigi (4/1), Kalogan (6/1), Suas Sios (8/1)
The ability to jump fences is the key question in this contest. Over hurdles, Kings Bandit would make massive appeal and, while he's entitled to be winning this, jumping does not look to be his forte and therefore he is hard to recommend at what will likely be prohibitive odds. Cloudy Morning also has credentials on his hurdling form but didn't impress on his recent chase debut. On that basis a chance is taken with CROSSHUE BOY, himself a decent hurdler and fit from a recent spin in that sphere ahead of this first assignment over the larger obstacles. The remaining trio may need something to go wrong if they are going to have a major say.
