Form of his latest victory is not working out well. Remains lightly raced and will arrive here with fewer questions to answer than most of his rivals. Stable landed this in 2011.
Has shown her best form at Perth but has gone well here in the past. Best efforts have come during the warmer months and probably best watched here to gauge wellbeing ahead of Perth targets next month. Cheekpieces are refitted.
Offered connections some encouragement back in the Autumn but has dropped himself out tamely since. Hard to recommend at present.
Excellent second here in December to what has proved to be a very well handicapped horse. Tailed off next time but was in the process of running a big race before losing his rider next time. Stable form is a concern but he still makes more appeal than most.
Without a victory since 2013 and has appeared not to relish a battle in the more recent past. Yet to race on ground as soft as this since joining current yard in 2015. There is evidence he could improve on these conditions and his handicap mark continues to drop.
Landed some good bets to take a poor race last Spring. That form has not worked out subsequently and he has to prove his wellbeing following a seven month absence. Yet to prove he can handle soft ground.
Has improved for the switch to handicapping and the application of a hood. Impressive when scoring at Newcastle and the form is working out nicely. Shaped as though a return to this trip would suit last time.
Forecasts
Sammy B (15/8), Mcginty's Dream (15/8), Late Date (5/1), Court Baloo (11/1), Gold Chain (16/1), Zaru (18/1), Ronaldinho (18/1)
MCGINTY'S DREAM is a much improved performer of late and can take full advantage of the weight he gets here from Sammy B. He was staying on nicely last time and can take this for a yard that do well here. Sammy B has room to improve and is respected following his latest win. He shoulders a big weight today and in these conditions that is a big ask. Late Date would have an excellent chance on the pick of his form and he will go close if back to his best.
