Has had a busy, if winless, winter so far, but put up his best effort since winning at Wetherby last March when runner-up at Carlisle last time. Trip and forecast conditions suit him and he is likely to go very well again as he remains 3lb lower than that West Yorkshire success.
Comes into this 4lb lower than his last win, although that was 12 runs ago in August 2015. Eve so, he retains some ability, as he showed when second off 110 at Leicester in January. Forecast ground suits.
Very durable Catterick specialist, who has given his connections great service at this sort of level. Remains in good heart with wins at both Catterick and Musselburgh this season, though both those were over 2m3½f and this shorter trip is a big concern.
Scored over this trip at Worcester in June and ran well on his next two starts, though could not get competitive from this mark when last seen. Already beginning to look exposed and hard to fancy for win purposes.
0-6 under rules and not shown a great deal over hurdles until doing better last time over C&D. Hard to recommend today despite a workable mark and looks likely to be suited by further.
A poor contest which should rest between to top two and HARTSIDE came back to form at Carlisle last time and can take this from what remains a good mark. Honey Pound is likely to benefit if the selection does not give his running, while Today Please looks next best.
