Easy winner of a three-runner 3m2f Warwick novices' hurdle in November (good) and blazed the trail when trying to follow-up at Chepstow, before the tank was emptied. May still be capable of better and connections reported after her win that she was likely to appreciate a bit of cut.
Enjoyed back-to-back wins at Fontwell and Wetherby at the turn of the year (both on good to soft), before a hike in the weights forced her in to Grade Two company. Far from disgraced in either run in that sphere, but should appreciate this easier company and looks the one to beat.
Looks like a mare destined for better things, having won a point-to-point, a debut bumper and both her novices' hurdles so far. All those win have been with plenty of cut in the ground, so she does have to prove that she will be as effective in the forecast conditions. Otherwise, she is very likely to get this trip and is the one in the field with potential written all over her.
Another going the right way, having won a debut bumper (good to soft) and then made the frame at Listed level in that sphere. Should improve for her Lingfield hurdles debut (heavy) experience and could find a fair bit of improvement for this significant step up in trip.
All four career wins have been on the Flat (rated 92), but put in a good effort to finish 4½L runner-up to the very useful Finian's Oscar on just her second start over hurdles at Exeter last month (2m1f, soft). Conditions won't be a problem and she is a very interesting contender with cheek pieces retained.
A small field but nonetheless interesting for that. Happy Diva sets the standard on what she has achieved so far and another win would not surprise, but the one with more potential for improvement than most looks to be LASTBUTNOTLEAST, who gets the vote, with Taws and Naranja others who should continue to do better.
