Improved for the drop back in trip at Wetherby last time scoring with any amount in hand and every chance he could go in again under similar conditions.
A little unlucky to unseat last time and had been running well previously (form figures of 413231 before last run). Should return in similar form but not necessarily as well-handicapped as some in here.
Will need to jump better if he's to get around here and doesn't look entirely straight-forward. Got away with it to a certain extent last time at Carlisle when finishing second of seven but will struggle to make those errors in this company.
Good Sandown win last time in 2015 and the decision to retain this jockey on debut for new yard looks a smart one but has a large absence to overcome and hard to support unless there's significant market support.
Six-time winner in Ireland but nothing like the force of old and seems to be regressing markedly for present connections on the evidence of a dismal effort in a Market Rasen hunter chase (soft) earlier this month. Probably best watched for the time being.
Ten race maiden, including in seven starts over fences. However, this is just this ex French racers fifth start for this trainer, and he's only five so open to minor improvement, and was placed, admittedly when a fairly distant third last time at Ludlow (Prussian Eagle pulled up). 2lb lower today (rated 109).
Forecasts
Plaisir D'Amour (13/8), Greybougg (11/4), Red Devil Star (7/2), Keep Moving (11/2), Lord Ben (14/1), Vision Des Champs (50/1)
PLASIR D'AMOUR was impressive when winning at Wetherby last time out and she's hard to oppose for a yard in such flying form. Red Devil Star is a consistent type and a little unlucky last time so he can take advantage if this run comes too soon for the selection while Keep Moving is still a maiden but made minor progress last time and is probably best of the rest
1. Plaisir D'amour
2. Red Devil Star
3. Keep Moving
