C&D winner in January and since twice gone close over 6f and a mile off this mark. Looks sure to there or thereabouts once again.
Sixth of seven last week over this trip, though not beaten all that far and once again was slowly out of the gates. Drops 1lb and looks competitive.
Model of consistency lately, hasn't finished out of the first two in five runs over this trip and 6f round here. Another notch up in the ratings but should be involved.
Chased home short-priced favourite on AW debut in a 6f maiden here three weeks ago. Makes handicap debut and definitely one of the more likely types.
More noted for sprinting on the turf in Britain though has run well at this trip before at York. First run for new trainer and jockey booking sticks out.
Another step in the right direction when well-held third in a 6f maiden around here last month, makes him interesting for handicap bow.
Prominently ridden over a mile here in January and unable to see it out having gone for home a fair way out. Drops in trip but hard to fancy on form book.
Ran well enough on stable debut here three weeks ago, has a bit to find strictly but could get involved.
C&D winner on debut but that was more than two years ago and generally struggled to build on it since. Penultimate start off this mark was a decent effort but flopped next time.
C&D winner, perhaps not best suited by 6f last time, though ran well enough. Gets 2lb back and up in trip here.
Lights went out quickly over the mile last week having been ridden to challenge. Drops in trip for handicap debut but suggestion remains that he needs to improve significantly.
Filly yet to win in 11 starts, drops in trip here which should help but not getting any favours at these weights.
Forecasts
Geological (9/4), Lily's Prince (11/4), Poetic Choice (17/2), Kodiac's Back (10/1), Lorendano (10/1), Shinko Princess (10/1), Atlas (12/1), Emperor Bob (14/1), Cardigan Street (16/1), Hyland Heather (16/1), Poppets Prince (33/1), Joules (50/1)
Few have been more consistent than Lily's Prince of late but, for all that recent promise, he has one win from his last 21 starts and goes up in the ratings again for finishing second last time out. Geological looks the most likely of the previous C&D winners given he's been in good recent form, Kodiac's Back and Emperor Bob have more to prove. SHINKO PRINCESS was an eye-catcher when second in a maiden over 6f recently at this venue and may well go one better now trying her luck in a handicap for the first time. Poetic Choice and Atlas could hold claims of minor money. Hyland Heather is worth a check in the market on first start for new connections.
1. Shinko Princess
2. Lily's Prince
3. Geological
