Winner of a listed bumper at Cheltenham in November 2015 and successful in a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las earlier this season. Consistent mare and beaten a head when odds-on at Warwick in December, this looks like a decent opportunity to register a second hurdles success.
Winner of a bumper at Kelso for previous yard 13 months ago but well beaten in three outings for current stable including at Hereford last time out. Drop in trip may help but a bit to prove at present.
Winner of a point-to-point in October 2016 but beaten 20L+ in each of her two rules outings to date including on hurdling debut at Leicester in January. Step up in trip and likely better ground may bring about improvement here.
Runner-up in a point-to-point last season but pulled up having tried to race prominently on hurdling debut for this yard over 2m5f in December. Probably best watched at present.
Forecasts
Copper Kay (1/10), Lady Beaufort (13/2), Ballela Magic (14/1), Midnight Walk (16/1), Robin Deuz Pois (33/1)
This mares novices event has been won by some decent individuals in recent times and COPPER KAY can take this for her trainer who took this event three years on the spin from 2012 to 2014 who also had the third placed horse last year. The selection can boast some useful form in bumpers and over hurdles and can defy a penalty for her Ffos Las success back in October here. Midnight Walk has run with credit in two outings over hurdles to date and should appreciate the step up in trip in this while the jockey booking for Lady Beaufort catches the eye also.
1. Copper Kay
2. Midnight Walk
3. Lady Beaufort
