Won over fences in November, below form last week over timber but merits consideration dropped in trip now going chasing once more.
Has come to grief in both starts over fences so far, has shown some promise however and may do better in time.
Sent off favourite for beginners event at this venue a fortnight ago, seemed booked for place money when falling at the last. Should do better.
Much better effort last time out at Down Royal, just giving best to A Great View. That effort merits maximum respect for this race and no shock should he go one better.
Twice a winner of hurdles, would have a say in this should he take to chasing first time of asking.
Still to win in 15 chase starts, unable to complete in the previous two and a definite query hangs over his determination to put it all into a tough finish. Looks one to watch for now.
A maiden after 15 starts in bumpers/hurdles contests. Chase debut here and form book leaves him with plenty to prove.
Did win a point-to-point but mostly laboured in five starts over timber and hard to build a case for a big change of fortune on chase debut.
Forecasts
Double Island (6/4), Double Scores (10/3), Goulane Chosen (7/2), Kilcarry Bridge (7/1), Dollar And A Dream (12/1), Game Puppeteer (16/1), The Canny Man (33/1), Shrewdoperator (50/1)
Double Island was running a decent contest when coming down at the final obstacle last time out and should give this a bold bid if standing up but preference is for likely market rival DOUBLE SCORES. He ran well when second at Down Royal at the end of January and can get off the mark over fences if building on that. Kilcarry Bridge, winner over fences in November, should be competitive again now going over the larger obstacles once more while Dollar And A Dream may be best of the race despite his failure to complete over fences as yet.
1. Double Scores
2. Double Island
3. Kilcarry Bridge
