Stepped up on his Warwick debut when finishing second at Hereford on heavy ground a month ago. Worth a second look in the market given yards 43% (3/7) strike rate in bumpers here in recent years.

Sent off 100/1 when causing a shock in a Bangor bumper last month. Finished well behind Absolute Power at Newbury in January and remains to be seen whether he can repeat that Bangor effort here.

Purchased for £13,000 as a three-year-old in May 2016. Dam was successful in a point-to-point from seven starts and is a half-sister to the useful chaser Foxtail Hill amongst others.
Cost €145,000 as a three-year-old in June 2016. Dam contested six steeplechase/cross-country starts in France and hails from a yard with a 30% strike rate (6/20) in bumpers here in recent seasons.
Purchased for €18,000 as a yearling in 2014 and a half-brother to the ten time winner Dolatulo. Small yard do well at this track (5/22 recently) and worth a check in the market.
Bought for £43,000 in May last year. Dam successful five times including in a listed hurdle. Yards horses do well here (5/7 in recent seasons) but both defeats have come with bumper runners.

Forecasts

Well Smitten (9/4), Absolute Power (9/4), Angel of Harlem (5/2), Duc De Beauchene (4/1), Atomic Rumble (5/1), Luckofthedraw (6/1), Samson's Reach (10/1), Newquay Cards (14/1), Jaunty Warrior (66/1)

Verdict

ABSOLUTE POWER looks the most likely winner of the concluding race on the card following a couple of solid placings in bumper events so far. The selection hails from a yard with a good record in this type of race here and can get the better of the expensively purchased Duc De Beauchene who represents top connections with Well Smitten another likely to be in the mix at the finish. 1. Absolute Power 2. Duc De Beauchene 3. Well Smitten
