Successful at Cartmel over 2m5f in August but well beaten in two outings since including when highly tried at Market Rasen next time out. Drops in grade and trip here and likely to go well for a yard with a 22% (21/97) strike rate over fences here in recent seasons.
Successful for this yard in a novice handicap chase here on his penultimate outing but a disappointing favourite at Wetherby over this trip subsequently. Top jockey (won on him before) booked here and he remains of interest on ground he's likely to appreciate.
Had cheekpieces applied for the first time when finishing runner-up at Leicester last time out. He isn't the most straightforward horse having hung when in front last time out.
Justfied odds-on favouritism in a maiden point-to-point at the seventh attempt (fell when clear the time before) in March but twice beaten in winners company subsequently. Makes a belated rules debut in cheekpieces for his small yard here following a lay-off of more than nine months.
Some moderate efforts against useful rivals in novice chases so far with the exception coming when finishing runner-up at Bangor in November. Winner here over hurdles and likely to handle the predicted under foot conditions with cheekpieces fitted here.
Forecasts
Dueling Banjos (8/13), West Wizard (3/1), Wadswick Court (6/1), Never Equalled (9/1), Its A Mistake (66/1)
WADSWICK COURT should appreciate the drop in trip here and can get the better of his two main rivals in this. The selection was successful in a handicap at Cartmel in August on good to soft ground and having won on both soft and heavy ground in the past the likely going shouldn't inconvenience him and he can get the better of the quirky Dueling Banjos and West Wizard who also look likely to run well here.
1. Wadswick Court
2. Dueling Banjos
3. West Wizard
