Posted a couple of good efforts to score at Worcester and finish third at Cheltenham. Finished a tired second on softer ground last time after 10 weeks off and has to run right up to his best win this on these terms.

Winning point-to-pointer scored here over hurdles on New Year's Day. Produced a big effort to be touched off by a useful horse at Hereford on chasing debut with some useful horses tailed off behind him. Stays well and ground will suit. Recent stable form is a concern. Has shown some quirks in the past and cheekpieces are now tried.

He has made all to win on his two previous runs here and looks set to be allowed to dictate the pace again. The Bay Oak lost nothing in defeat last time but faces a stiff task here if the selection runs to form. With the stable going through an indifferent spell of form he may have to settle for second best. Fayette County has shown he handles the ground and gets three miles. The question remains after his latest run as to whether he gets this far in this ground. With the selection sure to make this a true test he could find this longer trip asking too much. 1.
