Has improved on all three starts, and third to Mr Clarkson and Ridgeway Flyer at Exeter last time looks all the better after both that pair have won since. Needs to settle a little better but clearly sets the standard for the others to aim at here.

Has the size to do well at the hurdling game but became disappointing for Mick Appleby on the Flat, only winning one of his 21 starts so far. Looks a little one-paced so the switch to hurdles may help, but best watched on debut for new yard today.
Yet to beat a horse home in four attempts so far and looks to have his work cut out here.

Some promise in two bumpers but didn't pull up any trees on hurdles debut at Ludlow, taking too keen a hold and was pulled up early in the straight. Should do better in time, but a lot to do here.

Not seen on a racecourse since 2013, but hadn't shown anything in two bumpers and looks a very unlikely winner.

Poor on the Flat, and the count now stands at 41 under all codes without victory. Hard to see where the necessary improvement is going to come from here.

Moderate on the Flat for William Muir but did show ability over staying trips, and didn't do too badly on first start for new trainer when fourth to The Caller over this C&D in January. That bare form gives him a chance of hitting the places, and he should come on for that.

Won a moderate event (over 1m2f) on the Flat for Dennis Coakley last year and stayed further, which gives some hope she might be able to pick something up over hurdles, but this looks far too hard a task on her debut and can only be watched.

Jumped right on her debut here in January but was beaten soon after halfway and pulled up. Needs to have come on an awful lot from that to get involved.

Forecasts

Cigarisi (1/3), Argyle (3/1), Comanche Chieftain (6/1), Elocution (16/1), Muilean Na Madog (16/1), Miss Joans (50/1), Mighty Mustang (100/1), Indispensabelle (100/1), Movie Magic (100/1)

Verdict

This looks a good opportunity for CIGARISI to get off the mark. He’s shown some good form and his third to two future winners at Exeter last time stands out in terms of what he’s got to beat today. Argyle showed enough on his hurdles debut to think he can win something this season, and is probably second best. The race for third is up for grabs - if Comanche Cheiftain can jump adequately, it may be he’s next best. 1. Cigarisi 2. Argyle 3. Comanche Chieftain
