Consistent, and susceptible to better handicapped rivals, but won at Exeter in November on soft ground and followed that up with another solid effort at Lingfield the week after. Back over hurdles today after a slightly disappointing chase effort last time. This trip a concern.

No win on the card since 2014 and mark has come right down as a result of some moderate efforts, including last time out when tailed off behind Patsy's Castle at Newbury. Has won off a short break before, so can't be completely discounted.

She's not the biggest but she's all heart, as she showed again at Plumpton last time when finding plenty for pressure and holding on well on the run in. Handicapper has put her up 7lb for she's so genuine you couldn't say it will stop her.

Made favourite on all of his last four starts but has only won one of them. Ran poorly last time out at Ludlow but may well have been unsuited by the right handed track (hung quite badly) so return to a left handed track and first time cheekpieces might help the situation. Trainer in great form.

Got a great never-say-die ride from Tom Cannon when getting up in atrocious conditions here last time, and the handicapper has been sensible in only putting him up 4lb for that (still leaves him on a winnable mark) May well keep his form now he's found it.

Pops up every now and then and sprung a 25/1 surprise when winning at Warwick under similar conditions to today in December. Not so good on latest start when fourth to Tara Mist at Ludlow, although not beaten far, but gave the impression the handicapper was in charge.

Only had the five starts so open to plenty of improvement, and goes handicapping from a low enough mark but despite promise on first two hurdles starts, burst a blood vessel on latest start and that has to be a worry here.

Big prices all three hurdles outings to date but signs of promise behind Chef D'Oeuvre at Fontwell last year, and again when falling behind Dark Flame at Ascot on his latest start. Not seen for the best part of a year, but more interesting than a few.

Forecasts

Greyed A (9/5), Letemgo (5/1), Ding Ding (6/1), Capsis Desbois (13/2), Beer Goggles (7/1), Come On Laurie (8/1), Third Act (8/1), Seas Of Green (12/1), Norman The Red (25/1)

Verdict

GREYED A has perhaps been a bit disappointing to date but does have excuses for the poor runs and can get back to winning ways for a trainer/jockey combination that have a 27% strike rate. Little DING DING is as genuine as they come and should be in the money again, and a market check is required for Norman The Red, who has gone well at Fontwell and is still unexposed. 1. Greyed A 2. Ding Ding 3. Norman The Red
