Now two from five overall over fences, having recorded a pair of soft ground successes over this trip at Uttoxeter and Hereford in his last three racecourse appearances. Now rated 140, and wasn't the most fluent last time, but did stay on well to defeat Gino Trail by 1½L. That form looks solid in the context of this race with Gino Trail subsequently a runner up in the Kingmaker at Warwick.
Irish raider who hails from a yard that are keen to travel their horses anywhere for a suitable opportunity, and this seven-year-old made all, staying on well to score a maiden success on his sixth start over fences (novices chase) at Catterick (2m3f good to soft) last month. In defeating the long odds on Two Taffs, he showed improved form and his previous effort at Ayr is also beginning to look solid.
Connections hopes must have been high for a profitable campaign after this seven-year-old scored by a neck from Vendor on his chasing debut at Wetherby (2m) in November 2016, but things haven't quite gone his way since over longer trips. Whilst far from disgraced in any of his three subsequent runs, he's appeared a shade vulnerable to stronger rivals, and is again likely to play second fiddle to Zamdy Man on his return to the minimum trip today.
Point-to-point winner, but a five race rules maiden who looks way out of her depth in this contest, and was slammed by Aminabad on her chasing debut at Catterick last month.
Forecasts
The Dutchman (4/5), Zamdy Man (6/5), Aminabad (12/1), Sweet Belle (100/1)
The 140 rated ZAMDY MAN should have too much ability for these rivals over this trip, with his defeat of Gino Trail and Rayvin Black at Hereford last month very solid form in the context of this race. The Dutchman shouldn't find dropping in trip to his disadvantage at this stiff track on testing ground, and is narrowly preferred to Aminabad for the forecast, with Sweet Belle miles out of her depth today.
1. Zamdy Man
2. The Dutchman
3. Aminabad
