Ran well on racecourse debut when a staying on fourth in a bumper at Ludlow in November. The runner-up has won since and stable has a 21% (6/28) strike rate here in recent seasons.
Cost €16,000 as a yearling in 2013 and beaten less than 10L when finishing eighth on his debut at Warwick last month. Likely to prefer further in time but interesting contender for a top stable.
Runner-up to current Champion Bumper favourite Carter McKay on debut in a point-to-point at Ballynoe last year. Purchased for £36,000 subsequently and makes his rules debut for a yard who do well in bumpers (17% strike rate in recent years).
Sent off favourite when keeping on well into fourth in a similar race to this in December. Has been a non-runner at Kempton since and likely to go well here for a yard with a 25% (6/24) strike rate in recent weeks.

Well beaten when sent off a big price for his racecourse debut on soft ground here last month and a similar story looks likely here.

Current connections paid £30,000 for him after he finished runner-up in a six runner point-to-point in Ireland last April. Related to a number of winners at around 2m and interesting to see how he fares here for a yard who won this in 2013.
Signs of promise on debut here in December but well beaten at Bangor subsequently and amateur rider takes over for this. Looks to be up against it in a first time tongue tie here.
Half-brother to useful hurdler Let's Dance out of a smart French mare. Yard has a 16% (28/176) strike rate in bumpers in recent seasons and looks likely to run well on his racecourse debut.
Cost just £4,000 when purchased by current connections in December. Speedily bred filly and likely best watched on debut.

Bought for £10,000 as a yearling and a half-sister to useful chaser Ballykan. Worth a market check on debut here.

Forecasts

Lad Of Luck (5/2), Hidden Impact (10/3), Motueka (4/1), Voila Eric (7/1), Crucial Role (8/1), General Malarkey (10/1), Shiroccodee (25/1), Daylami Kirk (25/1), Ffeebee (25/1), Stanza Boy (50/1), Doodle Dandy (50/1)

Verdict

The well related LAD OF LUCK can get his career off to the best possible start by taking this concluding bumper. Ridden by a useful amateur rider here the gelding is well related and by an up and coming sire for a yard who do well with their limited number of bumper runners here (1/3 in recent seasons). Second place can go the way of Hidden Impact who makes his rules debut here having finished second behind a dual bumper winner in a point-to-point last year and who's trainer took this in 2013 while Motueka can build on his debut here in December by claiming third. 1. Lad Of Luck 2. Hidden Impact 3. Motueka
