Comes here in good form after winning two of his last three and will need to improve on that to defy his latest 13lb rise for a 15L Exeter success (3m, soft) in January. However, the last time he won from a mark anything like as high as this was three years ago, so he may be one to take on this time.

Good strike rate with 6-13, including at Ludlow last time when she took a novices' chase over 2m4f on good to soft. Handles plenty of cut in the ground, so forecast conditions won't be a problem and very interesting proposition on just her second handicap start over fences from a mark of 126, when you consider that she was rated 142 over hurdles two years ago.

Consistent performer, having made the frame in none of his 14 races, though winning only one of those in a 3m1f handicap hurdle here three years ago. It has taken a long time, but he is finally back down to that last winning mark and is likely to be able to get more closely involved than on any of his three previous chase starts.

Won back-to-back heavy ground Leicester novices' hurdles last season but was unable to handle being stepped up to a couple of stiff contests. Not a bad debut over fences at Ludlow last time, beaten 13L into second, for which he has been dropped 8lb going into this. Should be involved.

An improving profile and a consistent performer, having finished out of the frame only twice in seven chases. Won at Catterick (2m3f, good to soft) on New Year's Day from a mark of 115, before running very well from 8lb higher in a 5L defeat to another improver in Captain Redbeard at Wetherby last time. That rival came out and won again at Haydock last weekend ad has gone up to 139 now, so this gelding looks well treated ahead of this.

Ran up a hat-trick in the 2014/15 season, before spending 19 months on the sidelines. Showed nothing in first three races this season, but back to form last time at Huntingdon (2m7½f, good to soft) from 3lb lower than today's mark and probably won't be long before connections' perseverance and patience pays off.

Clearly not one of his trainer's leading lights, winning just 2-24 so far, though one of those was last time over C&D (soft) from a mark of 110. Up 9lb for that today and, although the second and third have both been placed again since, the suspicion is that that was the day to catch him.

Ran up a hat-trick in 2012/13, two of which came in her first spell for this trainer, with the third for David Bridgwater. Has been off the track since her last run for that trainer three years ago and starts again here from a 13lb lower mark. Potential to win this with her yard in good form and a market check is strongly advised in order to gauge any comeback confidence.

Was put up 7lb for landing a heavy ground Chepstow novices' handicap chase over 2m7½f last month and got beaten 8L into second when trying to defy that rise last time. Form of that looks sold enough, though he has now gone up a further 1lb and might again find one too good.

Forecasts

Future Gilded (7/2), Allchilledout (7/2), Shanroe Santos (5/1), Muckle Roe (15/2), Hit The Highway (9/1), Kris Spin (9/1), Definite Memories (12/1), Umberto D'olivate (12/1), Land Of Vic (14/1)

Verdict

One of the more interesting races on the card and with the Venetia Williams runners going well, it may be worth taking a chance on DEFINITE MEMORIES to rekindle some good memories and come back with a win. She had not stopped improving when last seen and although it was some time ago, a drop of almost a stone in the weights gives her decent claims if she is fit. Land Of Vic should go well, while others with claims are Kris Spin and Allchilledout. 1. Definite Memories 2. Land Of Vic 3. Allchilledout
