30,000 guineas yearling, Paco Boy gelding merits respect on debut and jockey booking can only be seen as a plus.
The evidence of two runs at this track at 6f/7f does not inspire confidence that it will be third time lucky.
Hung badly on debut, little better second time out and didn't always get the clearest of passages but needs fair bit of improvement to be competitive.
Didn't progress from debut when running a disappointing race over a mile in January, drops in trip but remains hard to fancy.
Did everything bar win on debut, just getting collared on the line. That form looks good as the fifth has come out and won since. Should be on the money in this.
Promising debut in mile maiden in December to be third (Honour Roll behind). Probably needs more to win this but could be forthcoming.
Struggled in sole outing in a C&D maiden just before Christmas, best watched for now.
Some promise in 6f debut last month, entitled to get competitive in maiden company with blinkers going on.
Elzaam colt cost €20,000 as a yearling and is much-respected on debut for connections, market can act as best guide.
First run for this yard, has something to find based on UK form on AW.
Hasn't shown enough in two runs at the track to warrant suggestion he'll snare this prize.
Filly was a little disappointing a fortnight ago when dropped to 6f, previously gone well over C&D for this jockey and can possibly bounce back.
Fair effort on debut in C&D maiden a fortnight ago, likely to progress and can get closer at the finish if doing so.
Forecasts
Jon Ess (7/4), Loose Chippings (7/2), Beat The Bank (4/1), Vincy (12/1), Reek Sunday (12/1), Goodnite Irina (12/1), Wild Shot (12/1), Power Of Ten (16/1), Maximus Daia (25/1), Honour Roll (25/1), Woodcarver (33/1), D K Travel (33/1), Born On The Clyde (66/1)
The manner in which Sheisdiesel scored around here last Friday suggest that JON ESS ought to be taken very seriously having finished almost 4L in advance of that rival on debut. Jon Ess didn't enjoy the clearest of runs in that race and should get off the mark with even luck this evening. Loose Chippings and Power Of Ten should get involved but, of those with experience, perhaps Goodnite Irina is the biggest danger now back at this trip. Newcomers Beat The Bank and Vincy would be feared if market support suggests they are ready for action.
1. Jon Ess
2. Goodnite Irina
3. Vincy
