Had the run of the race when winning over this trip off a 4lb lower mark in November and placed off higher since. Has had trouble exiting the stalls in recent outings over 7f which is a concern given her best efforts (including her two wins) have come when racing prominently/leading.

Winner of a 7f maiden event as a two-year-old at Lingfield in October 2015 but had just the two outings since with the best of them coming when finishing third in a hot handicap at Newmarket back in May after a break. Disappointed at Nottingham subsequently but every chance of her bouncing back here on her first outing in over eight months.

Run well enough in two starts for current yard finishing runner-up to Dunquin over 1m1.5f here on the most recent of those three days ago. Has placed off a 2lb higher mark in the past and appears to have a strong chance if handling the drop back to a mile here (well held in a maiden on only attempt previously).

Finished a promising third at Lingfield on good ground on her debut back in June but well held at Southwell subsequently and sent off a big price when fifth at Kempton earlier this month. Step up in trip looks likely to suit on handicap debut but a concern that the trainer is 0/24 here in recent seasons.

Got off the mark at the 13th time of asking when winning on her fibresand debut at Southwell over this trip last month. Placed over further here prior to that and chances off a 5lb higher mark for a leading yard and likely to race prominently.

Signs of promise when fifth in a big field 6f maiden at Doncaster on debut in april 2016 but well beaten in three subsequent efforts in maiden company including overthe same trip at Newcastle in November. Is a half-sister to the useful Victoria Regina and makes her handicap debut upped to a mile from 2lb out of the handicap in this.

Forecasts

Tenerezza (13/8), Little Kipling (5/2), Dose (10/3), Genuine Approval (7/1), East Coast Lady (10/1), Smart Mover (25/1), Andanotherone (28/1), Any Joy (50/1)

Verdict

DOSE is the most likely to lead them in this competitive handicap. The filly placed over further here off a 6lb lower mark here on her penultimate outing and has a decent draw here and is likely to get a relatively easy time of it in front. Tenerezza is the most likely candidate to chase the selection home and is one who should be doing her best work at the finish given her form has come primarily over further while Little Kipling can claim minor honours on her first start of 2017. 1. Dose 2. Tenerezza 3. Little Kipling
