Went close at Leopardstown last time over this trip, beaten by a promising sort. Expected to have a big say again despite 4lb rise.
Two most recent appearances suggest he's got a major task ahead him to come out best in this field.
Good run last time at Gowran over shorter trip behind handicap blot, goes up 2lb but should remain competitive.
Entitled to get closer to Sutton Manor than previously at Leopardstown but unlikely that form will be reversed.
Faller last time over fences, switches to the smaller obstacles for first run in a handicap hurdle and dangerous to rule him out.
Won over fences around here in November (2m6f) and ran well enough in Leopardstown handicap hurdle last month to merit respect.
Anything but consistent, though ran well last time at Leopardstown before being outpaced, upped in trip now and enters calculations.
Hasn't won a race since 2011, two runs back from more than 600 days off were not completely lacking in promise but does have to find more from somewhere.
Showed some degree of promise upped in trip last time at Leopardstown doing enough to suggest he could take a hand in this now sent handicapping for the first time.
Won a handicap chase at Punchestown in December off a mark of 123, comes back hurdling on first start since and could be thrown in if able to reproduce that type of effort.
Forecasts
Kansas City Chief (7/2), Sutton Manor (9/2), Inch Rise (6/1), Kilcrea Bridge (6/1), Venitien De Mai (13/2), Go It Alone (7/1), Hollow Tree (12/1), Our Vinnie (12/1), I'm All You Need (16/1), Kilcarry Bridge (20/1)
SUTTON MANOR found only Isleofhopendreams too strong last time around Leopardstown. That is fair form and from just a 4lb higher mark, he looks very capable of gaining some compensation in this contest. Kansas City Chief is very much respected off his lowly hurdles mark given his most recent effort over fences and has a clear chance if running to the same level. Go It Alone should be on the premises upped in trip while Venitien De Mai and Kilcrea Bridge are two to consider on handicap hurdle debuts. Kilcarry Bridge, a winner here over fences in November, is also on the shortlist.
1. Sutton Manor
2. Kansas City Chief
3. Kilcarry Bridge
