Won a hurdles race at this track (2m4f) in January and couldn't have been expected to do any better than finish second behind Douvan subsequently back over fences.
Record is decent this season, including chase wins at Sligo and Cork in the autumn. Consistent in better company since. Finished more than 30-lengths behind Realt Mor recently and, while that form shouldn't be interpreted literally given Douvan was in the race, it does give him something to find.
Hard to be impressed by any of his recent efforts, failed to complete last three, but does at least have his targets lowered this time and he has ability.
Going the right way over fences this season, winning both starts, no match for Realt Mor over flights around here last month and could be a similar tale again over the larger obstacles.
Forecasts
Realt Mor (13/8), Westerner Point (2/1), Champagne Harmony (9/2), Draycott Place (6/1), Shadow Catcher (14/1)
REALT MOR'S trainer has won two of the previous four in this contest and appears to hold leading claims once again. Having scored over timber at this venue a month ago, the veteran did well enough in running within seven-lengths of the mighty Douvan in the Tied Cottage at Punchestown at the beginning of this month. He holds Draycott Place on that evidence and having given a sound beating to Westerner Point over hurdles, he should confirm that form again over fences. The selection's stablemate Shadow Catcher should find this race easier but the recent figures beside his name are a worry. On just his second chase start, Champagne Harmony will do well to take close order at the finish.
1. Realt Mor
2. Westerner Point
3. Draycott Place
