Kept busy since making his debut at Chelmsford in December (last of nine) with five career starts all coming over 6f. Very disappointing last time when turned over at long odds-on (2/9fav) at Newcastle but he set a muddling pace and got done for a turn of foot. Could well bounce back.

Verdict

Alfonso Manana and Red Alert both set a reasonable standard to aim at but they look vulnerable to anything above average, and Marco Botti's charge, BASHEER could be just that. He's still looked green last time at Kempton but that effort was eye-catching and he may do better here. Calypso Jo, Captain Bond and Essential and all newcomers to note in a weak-looking maiden. 1.
