By no means consistent but has run a couple of decent races this term and could easily get involved in the shake-up despite conceding weight all round.

Recent form is not that inspiring, two runs at Naas since turn of the year lacked a kick over two-miles. Did run a fair race in valuable Leopardstown handicap in between at this sort of trip.

Winter Magicb,t21
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-5| J: D N Russell| T: J J Mangan| OR:  124

Did the job well at Thurles over bit further, sticking to task gamely and with just 6lb more to shoulder will be a threat if in the same mood.
5

Just Causep35
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-4| J: B J Foley(7)| T: M F Morris| OR:  123

Still lightly raced over fences, needs to find a bit more after weakening out of it at Punchestown last month but ran well for a long way there and shouldn't be written off.

Jumped better and scored in good fashion at Naas last month to open account over fences at fifth attempt. Hike in ratings to cope with but could be going the right way.
7

Owennacurra Milant291
Age: 12|  Weight: 10-11| J: M P Fogarty| T: Miss M L Hallahan| OR:  116

Won nicely on chase debut in March last year, hasn't run since May but would have a chance if ready to roll off reduced mark.

Some Dramat,v114
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-10| J: C D Maxwell| T: D A McLoughlin| OR:  115

Drops back in trip for this, by no means a reliable individual but his best form would put him in the frame for this race. Visor on first time and has a chance.
9
Horse silk
Killaro Boyh72
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-8| J: Sean Flanagan| T: A Murray| OR:  113

Needs a bit more than he's shown in two chase starts thus far, including at this track over shorter trip in October.

Garrai Phaidin86
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-6| J: P D Kennedy(3)| T: S K Ryder| OR:  111

Consistent performer over longer trips this season, drops back in distance and while handicapper has a fair grasp on him, wouldn't be ruled out.

Horse silk
State Of Origint98
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-2| J: M A Enright| T: E P Harty| OR:  107

Was in the process of running a decent race when last spotted at Naas in November before falling two out. Could figure in the shake-up.

Age: 8|  Weight: 9-13| J: J J Burke| T: R Tyner| OR:  104

Hasn't show a great deal in three runs over fences, but has run into some decent rivals. This might be her best opportunity to date, though still has improvement to find.

Forecasts

The Gatechecker (9/2), Garrai Phaidin (9/2), Definite Ruby (9/2), Killaro Boy (13/2), Winter Magic (7/1), Sonny B (7/1), A Hardy Nailer (7/1), Just Cause (8/1), State Of Origin (12/1), Killer Crow (14/1), Lisclogher Lad (14/1), Some Drama (20/1), Owennacurra Milan (25/1)

Verdict

This looks wide open and cases of some sort can be built for plenty, State Of Origin was going along nicely at Naas when last seen before coming down and would have a chance on that basis. Some Drama drops in trip and if able to recapture the form of his Limerick success in April would be a major contender, though he's been well below that of late. A Punchestown Festival winner over fences, DEFINITE RUBY might be the one for this. She scored over hurdles last month off a layoff and therefore looks primed to run well for a trainer in good form now. Garrai Phaidin is admirably consistent but struggles to win while last month's Naas scorer The Gatechecker is also respected in his follow up attempt. 1. Definite Ruby 2. State Of Origin 3. The Gatechecker
