Twice a winner on turf, but returned better than ever last week when forging clear to win over C&D in good style, his first start on a tapeta surface. Obvious claims under a 6lb penalty.
Began his career with three wins from four starts over 7f to 1m, but unable to add to his tally last season. Market move on his AW debut would be interesting, because he is feasibly-treated on best form.
Former Richard Hannon inmate who has never quite fulfilled his juvenile promise, though not disgraced on his reappearance at Southwell last month. Should strip fitter as he makes a tapeta debut for a new yard.
Two-time polytrack winner who has been fancied for all three starts this year without quite managing to deliver, running below par at Lingfield latest. First run on tapeta surface.
Great servant, winning 11 times in all, including twice over this C&D. Raised 4lb for his most recent success and that seemed to anchor him last time out, so possibly best watched in the short-term.
A winner over 1m3f in his native France but ended last season quietly and has been gelded since. Would be a surprise winner on his debut for a jumps-orientated yard.
Won an Ayr maiden last summer but steadily lost his way in handicaps subsequently, all at the same course. Still lightly-raced for his age and it will be interesting to see what the market makes of him on his tapeta debut.
Twice a winner on polytrack before adding to his tally with a win over 7f here in December, coming with a well-timed run. A decent third at Chelmsford on only previous attempt over this trip, but needs excusing a lacklustre effort over 7f here subsequently.
Not the easiest to predict and it's now 15 races since his last win, though he finished third at a big price over C&D on his reappearance last month. Needs forgiving a lethargic effort over further last time.
Bits and pieces of promise prior to opening his account at the sixth time of asking in a 1m maiden at Wolverhampton last month. More on his plate returning to handicap company but there may be more to come from him.
A 7f winner on turf for Tony Coyle in 2015 but had largely flattered to deceive since, prior to producing a career-best effort to score decisively over C&D last month. Hard to dismiss despite a 5lb rise.
Forecasts
Worlds His Oyster (3/1), Pickett's Charge (4/1), Byres Road (13/2), Swift Emperor (7/1), Shah Of Armaan (8/1), Inaam (10/1), Nicholas T (14/1), Eastern Dragon (16/1), Hail Clodius (16/1), Warfare (22/1), Main Fact (125/1)
There was a lot to like about the way Pickett's Charge scored over C&D last month and the ensuing 5lb rise shouldn't prevent another strong effort but preference is for fellow recent C&D scorer WORLDS HIS OYSTER. John Quinn's charge was having his first start since being gelded when staying on strongly to repel the challenge of Mariee (runs in the 4.25), taking his form to another level in the process, and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to anchor him in his current mood. Swift Emperor and Inaam look the most interesting of the remainder.
1. Worlds His Oyster
2. Pickett's Charge
3. Swift Emperor
