Placed on both of his previous starts in maiden company including over 1m2f here last time out. Appeared to appreciate the stamina test that day so interesting to see how he fares dropped in trip.
Cheap purchase as a yearling at the sales and signs of ability at a big price over C&D on debut. Likely to be better suited to handicaps in time.
Expensive yearling who showed signs of greenness when finishing third at Kempton earlier this month. Yard have a 27% strike rate here (3/11) and likely to go well once more.
Noisy in the prelims prior to finishing well beaten on debut at Ripon last May. Has been absent and through the sales ring (bought back cheaply by the trainer) and likely needs to improve to figure.
Well beaten in two maiden starts including over this C&D a fortnight ago. Apprentice jockey takes over in the saddle here and more needed to figure.
Shaped well when finishing runner-up over 7f at Lingfield last month and a half-brother to Group 3 winner Most Beautiful. Likely to appreciate the extra furlong he'll encounter here.
Sent off a big price but showed plenty of ability when debuting over C&D early last month. Trainer's horses are going well at present (2/9 of late) and another likely to run well.
Elzaam filly who cost 6,000 gns as a two-year-old last April. Speedily bred and a half-sister to winning sprinter Pink Martini so interesting that she debuts over a mile here.
Forecasts
Bowban (9/4), Spiritofhayton (9/4), Saxon Flames (5/2), Excel Again (4/1), Coral Princess (66/1), Elite Icon (66/1), Redarna (200/1), River Warrior (200/1)
EXCEL AGAIN can get off the mark at the second time of asking here. The selection ran well when finishing third at Kempton on his debut earlier this month and looked likely to come on for that experience. He can improve on his trainers excellent record (3/11) at this track and get the better of Saxon Flames who ran well when finishing runner-up at Lingfield last time out and Spiritofhayton who is another who placed on debut.
1. Excel Again
2. Saxon Flames
3. Spiritofhayton
