Talented but quirky individual who often finds little for pressure, as he did again at Newbury on his latest start when third to Theatre Flame (form solid), fading late and losing second on the line. He may be better in big fields when he can be brought through on the bridle and to that end, this small field won't help. Conditions ideal but not one to place maximum faith in.
Five chase starts to date have seen some mixed efforts, with his jumping letting him down at times, but he did nothing wrong at Newbury in January, getting into a good rhythm and beating a useful field with a bit in hand. Jumping again let him down on his latest effort, falling early on at Wincanton, and handicapper probably in charge regardless.
Progressing well now and followed up his bloodless Ludlow win with another at Southwell, travelling well and easing down after the last to a six length win. Handicapper has given him a whack and he's now 12lb higher than the Southwell win, but jumps well and not hard to think he's still got more in the tank. Leading chance again.

Un Prophete (8/11), Champagne At Tara (2/1), Winner Massagot (5/2), Theatre Flame (5/1)
Hopefully Theatre Flame will ensure this isn't run at a crawl, as the other three tend to come from off the pace. There's a chance, if his jumping holds up, that Theatre Flame will get loose off the front but preference has to be for the fast-improving UN PROPHETE, who has won with such ease on his last two starts that he can take the handicapper's rise here. Winner Massagot and Champagne At Tara are both talented performers, with the former looking the better handicapped at present. This small field may not suit Champagne At Tara.
