Fairly useful over hurdles and a winner at Carlisle over 3m+ in that sphere but looks as though he could make a better chaser and is already rated higher over fences. Had just the three starts over fences so far (yet to win and fallen once) but has shown promise and still has improvement in him as he enters a handicap chase for the first time.

Useful over hurdles but hard to win with of late and makes his chase debut here. Shaped well after a break over hurdles at Kempton last time coming back from a break and runs for a leading yard here.

Consistent sort over fences who has been racking up the placed efforts of late (started favourite last three starts). Best effort over fences came on his penultimate start at Ayr off a 4lb lower mark but produced a laboured effort last time out.

Has won over fences in a maiden Irish point-to-point but failed to really cut it over hurdles when with Paul Nicholls - in fact was a beaten favourite on five occasions. Had two outings for his current yard over fences but has failed to convince in either; falling on his debut.

Forecasts

Takingrisks (11/10), Vicenzo Mio (9/4), Spanish Fleet (10/3), Hawkhurst (18/1)

Verdict

Just four go to post but it should still prove a competitive race with TAKINGRISKS able to put his chasing experience to good use over Vicenzo Mio on his fencing debut. Spanish Fleet should be able to out battle Hawkhurst for the minor placings with neither having the form to beat the other two. 1. Takingrisks 2. Vicenzo Mio 3. Spanish Fleet
