Having third start for current yard and beaten favourite on last three outings in total. Not one to trust too heavily but has the ability to win if today's first time visor does the trick.
May have lost confidence last two starts after falling when in contention at Wetherby in November. Has plenty to prove though and, despite falling handicap mark, others make more appeal.
Winning point to pointer but has looked very one paced so far under rules. Not disgraced last time however, and hard to completely dismiss out of hand.
Dismal effort at Wincanton latest when well backed favourite and will have to do a great deal better today to figure. Still a maiden after 16 starts here and previously when trained in France, and may have to wait a while longer to get off the mark.
Was in cracking form in the autumn rattling off an impressive hattrick, rocketing 30lb up the weights. Has found life tougher since but again ran well when runner-up last time at Warwick. Should be in the mix but very testing ground might hinder his chance.
Bumper winner who has not done as well as anticipated over obstacles. Handles conditions but could be up against it here despite getting weight from all five rivals.
Forecasts
Krackatoa King (6/5), Yanmare (7/2), Flashjack (15/2), Buttercup (8/1), Have A Go Hero (8/1), Wabanaki (14/1)
KRACKATOA KING might just get the better of the argument with Yanmare in what could turn into something of a slog up the Towcester hill. Beaten favourite on his last three outings, the addition of the visor might just do the trick and he is narrowly favoured. Despite a steep rise in the weights Yanmare remains in form and could take advantage of any slips from the selection. Flashjack looked out of sorts last time, but if back on song would not be out of this on the pick of last season's efforts.
1. Krackatoa King
2. Yanmare
3. Flashjack
