Unlucky not to get off the mark when previous trained by John Gosden and ran well on debut for this yard two starts ago, but it is a concern that he was below his best on his latest appearance. Interesting switched to the Polytrack for the first time.
Former bumper horse who didn't run badly at Lingfield on Flat debut before trailing home 117L behind the winner on his second attempt at the same course 11 days ago. Will need to put that effort well behind him in first time cheekpieces.
Didn't run badly after a break here two weeks ago and steps up in trip today. Others rate more likely winners but he has place claims if the extra four furlongs suit, which they should on paper.
Improved for the step up to this trip on his third start last time and looks to be going in the right direction. Could go well for a well-respected trainer.
Derby entrant who wears blinkers on his debut for a trainer with a good record in maidens. Good pedigree for this sort of race and looks to be a big player.
Put in a better effort last time at Lingfield than when well beaten on debut, with the pedigree suggesting that the four extra furlongs today could be to his liking. Improvement will be needed, though.
Hasn't been far away on two starts since upped to this trip, and has proven she acts on the Polytrack at Lingfield and Chelmsford. Running style should suit this race and is in with a big chance.
55,000 gns yearling who has a decent pedigree being by Poet's Voice, and makes her debut for some highly respectable connections. Worth a look in the market.
Should stay this trip on debut based on pedigree, but trainer has a poor record in these sort of races, especially with three-year-olds. Others hold more convincing claims.
Looked much more like this would be her trip on her most recent appearance, but has a fair bit to find with some of her previously raced opponents on ratings, not to mention some promising newcomers. Best watched here.
Forecasts
Peaceful Passage (11/8), Tomorrow Mystery (7/2), Cartavio (7/1), Salt Whistle Bay (9/1), Alexander M (10/1), Kyneton (10/1), Shine Through (20/1), Henry Croft (25/1), Swallow Dancer (33/1), Treble Strike (66/1)
This open-looking maiden seems like the sort of race that might go to a newcomer, and KYNETON could fit the bill. The son of Fastnet Rock has an appealing pedigree and a Derby entry to his name, and is saddled by a trainer who isn't afraid to run good quality horses in all weather maidens first time out. Of those we have already seen, the selection's stablemate Peaceful Passage could go closest, over a C&D which will suit her running style of tracking the leaders, followed by Henry Croft, if he can put his poor performance last time out behind him.
1. Kyneton
2. Peaceful Passage
3. Henry Croft
