Yet to win over hurdles but has bits and pieces of form that suggest he has the ability to figure in a race such as this. He wouldn't want the ground to be too soft underfoot, though.
Becoming a regular at this track and shouldn't be inconvenienced by the ground conditions. Responded well for today's rider last time out, so not without hope at this level.
Rallied gamely at this course last time out, running well above market expectations. Had previously put together an unimpressive string of performances, so needs to prove it wasn't a fluke.
Only moderate form in the book so far and very little indication that was about to change last time out. One for the very brave only.
Stable is in flying form just now but there is little else to recommend her judging by recent efforts. She doesn't have many miles on the clock but has yet to really get seriously involved at the business end.
Finished just behind Funny Oyster when they met here last month. Has work to do to reverse the placing this time around.
Been in the doldrums for a while now and, event though he posted and improved effort at Taunton last time out, there wasn't enough sparkle to suggest a revival is on the cards.
May have needed the run last time out, so is better judged on his early winter form, which certainly puts him in the picture as a contender in a weak race like this. Also notable that he is still unexposed over hurdles, so may be good value for any support he receives in the betting ring.
Forecasts
Work (3/1), Mollylikestoboogie (3/1), Dragoon Guard (7/2), Funny Oyster (11/2), The Game Is A Foot (17/2), Landscape (10/1), Blackwood Rover (20/1), Sparkling Ice (33/1)
An inauspicious finale can go the way of BLACKWOOD ROVER, who is expected to have been sharpened up by a recent blow out and will rarely be presented with a better opportunity to make an impact from the bottom of the weights. Funny Oscar and Work are old rivals who can make this interesting for the places. The former had the edge the last time they met and is fancied to take the bragging rights in that personal battle. Dragon Guard is forwarded as the best of the rest.
1. Blackwood Rover
2. Funny Oyster
3. Work
