Looked a promising individual as a novice hurdler a couple of seasons back but not gone on as much as one would expect. Three chase starts have yielded two seconds (both in three runner contests) and well held behind a subsequent Grade 2 winner at Newcastle last month and hasn't always impressed with his jumping but every chance of getting off the mark over fences here.

The gelding tackles nothing of that calibre in this and while he disappointed in a handicap on his penultimate start he should appreciate this step up to 2m3.5f having won over further over hurdles. Mister Spingsprong has more chasing experience than the selection but has now gone 10 runs without winning having taken his first two outings under rules while Jack In A Box is likely to be outclassed here and can take third. 1.
