Third in a Grade 1 behind Bristol De Mai in December 2014, but only modest form since. Still very high in the handicap, and will need his best performance since that effort to land the spoils here. Any rain is a bonus.
Was beaten favourite when bidding for a hat-trick at Haydock last time - that was in the fog so difficult to ascertain too much about the performance, but the form looks solid and he remains on the same mark.
Has been fairly luckless for the past two years but steps down this grade for the first time since winning in February 2015. Could go well off a career-low chase mark and with a first time tongue strap.
Has improved through three novice hurdles and makes handicap debut today off what looks to be a fair mark. Likely to make a chaser in time but shown enough to convince he could be a decent hurdler as well.
Returns to hurdles for the first time in 11 months. Hasn't won over the smaller obstacles since January 2014 but looks fairly well handicapped and any rain will help - 3/4 of this wins have come on heavy ground.
Has looked better stepped up in trip in novice hurdles. Making handicap debut today and seems to be going the right way off a winnable opening mark. There will definitely be races to be won with this horse.
Returns from a failed attempt at chasing last time when he fell at the second. Has won at this level before but that, and the rest of his best form, have all come on heavy ground, so will need it to come up as soft as possible here.
Has performed relatively tamely in two lower grade handicap hurdles the last twice and there's little cause of optimism that she'll be able to improve on those efforts here.

We didn't see much of SUPER SAM at Haydock last time out when he was beaten favourite in the fog - there weren't even any official winning distances for that race. However, the form is working out very well indeed and he could be the one to beat here off the same mark. Catching On has conditions in his favour today for the first time in a very long time, while Predict A Riot looks a likely improver.
