Ran just an average race in a bumper at Cork last month behind some promising types, can do better in time although looks trainer's second string in this.
Struggled in Leopardstown debut over 2m2f, drops in trip here but will need some major improvement to land any sort of blow.
Was attempting to make the running here last month when saddle slipped and soon pulled up. Was 66/1 then and hard to say how things would have gone for him.
Well held in two maiden hurdles runs so far, including at this venue last month over an extra furlong. Needs a step forward to have any chance today.
Experienced bumper runner, has gone close a couple of times in that sphere and wouldn't be a shock to see him going well on jumps bow.
One of two for trainer in this race, formerly a smart performer on the Flat and has been runner-up both runs over hurdles. He'll hold fair claims of going one better now.
Mare is making here racecourse debut here. She's well-bred and her trainer has been in fine form recently. Worth a look in the market.
Ran well enough in Fairyhouse bumper on debut, that was in April and hasn't been out since. Bit to find to get involved on first jumping test.
Has a bit of improvement to find based on December debut in a bumper at Fairyhouse.
Mare hasn't exactly been a leading light on her Flat form, winning couple of low grade races in her time. Best watched for first start over timber.
Runner-up both recent starts over hurdles, both at this trip. From a leading yard is greatly respected and no surprise to see him get the job done sooner rather than later.
Dual winner on the Flat but has it all to prove in this field based on three runs over hurdles so far.
Still has some questions hanging over his jumping technique after three starts, others in this field make plenty more appeal.
Ten-race maiden on the Flat, goes jumping for the first time in this and would need some market support to inspire confidence.
Filly has looked pretty average in three maiden runs on the Flat, been off the track since May and faces a fair task in this.
Forecasts
Outspoken (8/15), Icario (9/4), Mr Showtime (14/1), Bold Sky (25/1), Famous Day (50/1), Not Touch (50/1), Firions Angel (66/1), Mandarin Monarch (66/1), Jefferson Davis (66/1), Royal Roslea (66/1), I Will Follow (66/1), Demi Plie (66/1), Ancient Empire (66/1), Fairwood Native (100/1), Biggs (100/1)
OUTSPOKEN and Icario have twice each been forced to play second fiddle in four runs over timber of late but this appears an ideal opportunity for one or other to get over the line. The selection returned from a year off with a good run over Christmas and has been given time to recover. He was a smart performer on the Flat and should have the turn of foot to win this. Icario needs to iron out some jumping issues that have cost him ground but remains a live danger in what is essentially a race lacking depth. Mr Showtime has plenty experience of the track in bumpers and could run well while the selection's stablemate Ancient Empire could also improve on his Cork bumper debut. Bold Sky is worth a market check too for her in-form trainer on debut.
1. Outspoken
2. Icario
3. Bold Sky
