A faller on sole point-to-point outing back April, was still in the mix and one to look out for on return to action.

Place in both bumper runs, including when narrowly denied over C&D in December. Likely to go close again.
Yet to score having run in six of these but has finished behind some promising types, could challenge for places in this contest.

Looked booked for victory before unseating in a point-to-point in October, has since joined powerful Gordon Elliott string and has a top jockey booking for rules debut.

Travelled well for a long way in heavy ground bumper at Limerick over Christmas, can do better.
Third on bumper debut at Punchestown in December, should have more to offer and trainer has been in blinding form recently.
Well-bred sort has the makings of a quality performer, makes first racecourse appearance and is worth a check in the market.

Stumbled and unseated rider in Cork bumper last month, Now Mcginty fourth home in the same contest.
Didn't make much of an impression over C&D on sole previous bumper run, hard to fancy now.

Failed to complete in three recent point-to-point outings, best watched ahead of first start on the racecourse proper.

Forecasts

Back Bar (8/11), Game Of War (3/1), Planet Nine (7/1), Ken's Well (10/1), Now Mcginty (12/1), Ballinahinch (25/1), Get Smart (33/1), Stole The Show (33/1), Western Moss (66/1), Offlyne (100/1)

Verdict

The Gigginstown-owned duo of Game Of War and BACK BAR look the two to concentrate on for this finale. The selection would have won a point-to-point last time out bar unseating and has since switched to a powerful trainer. With his jockey booking a significant plus, he is tipped to get off the mark first time up in this sphere. Game Of War ran a sound race at Punchestown to be third on his previous bumper try and, with his trainer in good form, it would come as no surprise should he improve on that showing. Plenty of the others make limited appeal but Now Mcginty has run against some promising rivals already while Ken's Well has taken home place money from both trips to the racecourse. 1. Back Bar 2. Game Of War 3. Ken's Well
